Blurry. Practiced free lens-ing some more tonight. I loved the way the light was reflecting on the water.

Spark. After the rain, when the sun came out, I noticed the way the light was hitting the droplets trapped in the screen door. I got a sudden creative spark and grabbed the camera.

Catchlights. Started out today at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, where you get an up close and personal experience with the giraffes. Very cool. They have huge eyes!

Memory. Making memories with the kids...started our mini-vacation today (to Colorado Springs). began at the Paint Mines, a place that was on my Summer Bucket list last year - never made it then, so it was great to start out the summer there today!

Free Spirit Sunday. Hiked up Table Mountain this morning. The wildflowers are AMAZING up there right now!

One. The boy and his new toy. He loves the RC Jeep he got for his birthday.

Machine. He got his first lesson in lawn-mowing today. (So did the girl.)

Face. This is the face of a boy who just turned 9, who just finished 3rd grade, and has grown so much in the past year! So proud of who he is becoming.

Gloomy. Today was anything BUT gloomy. So proud of how well both kids did in school this year. She won the "Pollyanna" award for her cheerful disposition and always looking on the bright side.

Fun. Had his birthday party to celebrate turning 9. I'm pretty sure they all had a fun time. He loved being sung to by his friends.

The Golden Spiral (composition). I love these aspen trees. The trunks come up right along the front of our back deck and I love the way they look there. My husband pointed out tonight that they are all probably dead, and will have to be removed. This makes me so sad.

Day 130

Change. Changing my focus from satisfying the prompts to documenting our everyday life. We found a geocache last night, so went back tonight to leave a "treasure" for the next hunter.

Reality. Lifestyle. Since they have no swingset in our backyard, the kids like to create obstacle courses out of the lawn furniture. *sigh*

Trouble. These yellow flowers are trouble. So are these kids. But what's really been giving me trouble lately is trying to figure out free lensing. But I think I'm finally getting the hang of it!
